We use the minimum cookies required to keep you logged in and keep the service secure.

What we use

  • Session cookies — authenticate you after sign-in and keep you logged in. Deleted when you close your browser or sign out.
  • CSRF / security cookies — prevent cross-site request forgery and similar attacks.
  • Analytics cookies — first-party, functional metrics that count visits and measure which pages hold attention, so we can improve the product. Set only after you accept them in the cookie banner, on *.omegavault.app:
    • ov_vid — a random visitor id used to join pages into one visit. Retained up to 400 days.
    • ov_sid — the current browsing session. Deleted when the session ends.
    • ov_attr — which site referred you, and any campaign code in the link you followed. Retained up to 90 days.
    • ov_analytics_consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. Retained up to 180 days.
    • ov_src — the acquisition source or campaign code carried into sign-up. Retained up to 30 days.
    Raw page-visit events are retained for 180 days and session records for 400 days. No IP address and no full browser user-agent string is retained: the country and a coarse device category are resolved once at collection and the originals are discarded.

What we don't use

  • Advertising cookies. We don't run ads.
  • Cross-site tracking. We do not follow you around the web.
  • Third-party analytics cookies. The metrics above are collected by us, on our own domain, and shared with no one.

Controlling cookies

Your browser settings give you full control over cookies. Disabling session cookies will sign you out and require re-authentication. Declining analytics in the banner (or deleting the four cookies above) disables visit counting entirely — only an anonymous page view is recorded, with no visitor id attached.
